Sheet music finding online
This platform was primarily developed to help the VMO team search for scores. It is also intended to track the quantity and location of scores. Reduce unnecessary duplicate printing and waste.
The search function is enabled through various tags. The web version also fits the mobile phone, although the visual layout may differ slightly. In the final version, you can view which concerts and years a particular score was previously used.

- On the homepage, under the data section, I’ve temporarily set up three intuitive ways to search for scores: Size, Composer, and Country.
- Under Size, scores are categorized by duration: Mini (0–5m), Short (6–15m), Medium (16–30m), Long (31–60m), Epic (61m+).
- You can also switch Composer and Country for a different way to find your music.

- Use the search bar to look for scores by any keywords.

- Click on music to see information such as the Title and Composer.
- The lower COLOURED SECTION details the Number of Movements, the Type of Music, the Composer’s Nationality, and the Approximate Performance Time.
- If you click the THREE DOTS, you’ll see Additional Information.

- Behind the THREE DOTS, the Additional Information shows that Type repeats the music category.
- Score Coverage shows the parts were found perfect, missing, or unclear in our storage. It shows the scores as Completed, Missing, or if uncertain, Unknown.
- The ref number shows the score online location and can be ignored.
- Time corresponds to the Size tag but provides a more specific duration. This duration is based on video references found on YouTube.
- If the piece has information on Arrangement, it will also appear here.

- Below, you’ll see the inventory status of each instrument's part for the score in our storage. Some scores include percussion ensembles, so you’ll also see which percussion instruments are involved in those sets.

- Back on the page where it prompts you to click the THREE DOTS, you’ll also see an introduction to the piece and a reference video.
- Featured Events, you’ll see which VMO performances this piece has appeared in. This feature is not yet active.
- Sheet Music Downloads will also be available after scanning and uploading the physical scores.

- Recommended Music is mainly based on its length and type. AI recommendations can be made based on your findings when the platform collects more usage data.

- Back to the homepage, the left section shows music types and tags generated from the database. These tags will expand as I add more music, including more category options like Festival, Event, Chamber Music, and more.
- Ignore the Database section and Edit Mode button, as they haven’t been developed yet.

- As shown in the image, Click into Solo & Orchestra, ****Some usage tips are shown in the image.

Before launching the first version, all the data was accidentally lost due to a system conflict. I need to re-enter everything again. So far, the database contains about 60 music information.
